My specs :
CPU : Core 2 Duo E7500 now clocked from 2.93 on 3.06 GHz
GPU : NVIDIA GTS 250
RAM : 4 GB
HD : 500 GB
PSU : 700 W POWER BOX
motherboard : gigabyte G41MT-S2PT

i think i have bottlenecking on my cpu
and need me help when i have overclocked the cpu on 3.1 ghz pc start good but after 2 minutes i have black screen how to fix that ?

Solution

get msi afterburner for the on screen display and monitor how much cpu usage and gpu usage is going on. For example with my fx 4300 and xfx hd7870 2gb in GTA 5 in the city my cpu usage is at 100% and gpu usage is at 30% meaning i have a cpu bottleneck, im actually looking at overclocking too but i think i need a cpu fan and not sure what to get as i dont have a big budget

how did you find the bottleneck?
If you're getting bad performance in your games its probably not a bottleneck, its a weak gpu.
gts 250 is around 6 years old now and i dont think that cpu bottlenecks it

I agree with everyone else. A dual core cpu isn't cut out for gaming. Even the way you had it overclocked you wouldn't notice any performance increase. Your overclock of .13gz is negligible.

My advice: Build a new computer mate.
