Hey Guys,
I have a new weird problem I never encountered in my life of strife dealing with computers. I recently updated my ram and CPU cooler and completely disassembled my computer and put it all back together. Everything is running smooth except this one quirk ( a major one) every time I put a blank dvd in one of my drives the system freezes no bsod no errors in event log. If I boot up with blank dvd in the drive windows will fail to load.
Specs
Asrock Z87 Extreme 6
i7 4790k
16 GB trident
GTX 660 SLI
The culprits 2x ASUS DRW-24B1ST
What I have tried.
1. Uninstalled both drives in windows device manager
2. Clearing CMOS
3. Changed the power cables
4. Moved one to a different sata port
I dont really know how much it matters, but when I look into "my computer" the drives have different icons . Which I thought was odd due to two reasons. I probably never saw two icons in the past and I would think they should have the same icons since they are identical drives.
I really would appreciate anyone's direction if you have an idea what could be the issue.
