can anyone help me or i can just use Msconfig > boot > Advance and select how many memory i want to use is that safe? i jsut happend to re insert my ram cos i saw it was only 4 gb then after i turned on it became 5.67 usable
This is normal. Programs and system requirements are using the 2.3GB of memory that is "in use". BTW, does this system use a stand alone video card or an integrated video adapter?
That appears to be normal. 2.3GB in use + 5.7GB available equals 8GB of memory. What's happening is that 2.3GB is currently being used by Windows and the remaining is waiting to be allocated.

Remove your ram clean and reset nice and snug.
I find if you use a clean eraser on the ram contacts not the MB contacts and blow all the dust of the MB.
But you may have a bad ram stick if you have a different computer to try them in may help.

stand alone gpu sir
I asked because using an integrated adapter uses main memory resources as well.
