I've got an old Acer Aspire 5630 laptop.
It has 4gb of ram (maximum), a T5500 Dual Core processor and currently has Vista running on it. It's not had a clean install in years and it runs ok but is sluggish some times.
To give it a year or two's more life. I'm thinking of upgrading the old hd (http://www.cnet.com/products/seagate-momentus-5400-2-st9120821a-hard-drive-120-gb-ata-100-series/) to this SSD - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131403249592 (This is the only compatible one I can find).
I will also install windows 7 (32bit) with the possibility of upgrading that to windows 10 if it's up to scratch and if the laptop is powerful enough.
Will I get the performance boost I'm hoping for or will I be wasting my money?
