Computer shut down after turning on from sleep, now won't stay on for more than ten minutes.

So, I put my computer to sleep, then a little later turned it on; however it shut down suddenly.

Thought it was a glitch, but now it won't stay on for more or less ten minutes give or take how long I leave it off. When it shuts down, it just completely shuts off, as if I just unplugged it suddenly.

I've replaced the RAM and the CPU fan, ran a diagnostic on the Hard drives and they're fine, I tried to run Memtest86 but it won't stay on long enough to run the program.

At this point I'm thinking it's the CPU or the motherboard. It's not too much of a problem if that's the case as I have warranty and can replace both of them if need be, I'd just rather it didn't come to that.

Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
It isn't the power supply. Forgot to mention, but I replaced that as well after the problem happened.

As for the specs:

CPU: AMD FX 9370 8-core 4.4GHz
Motherboard: Sabertooth 990fx R2.0
PSU: 850W Corsair RM Series Full Modular
RAM: 16GB (4x4GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Jet Black
Hard Drive: Seagate 320GB SATA 7200 RPM
Solid State Drive: 512GB Crucial MX100 2.5 7mm
CPU Fan: Corsair H80i GT Hydro Cooler

Let me know if I missed anything :D

Sorry, graphics card is the xfx radeon r9 280x

Also, yes I tried running RAM like that, didn't really make a difference.

Could it be the CPU or motherboard? Is there a way to test to see if it is?

I have, not very thoroughly I must admit. It might actually be that that is the problem, perhaps I haven't plugged my CPU fan into the right port; I say that because the longer I leave my computer off before I try turning it on again, the longer it stays on before it shuts off.

I'll let the computer rest a bit, then when I turn it back on I'll check the temps and post them.

I'm on the PC now, I tried moving around the CPU fan headers. It's running smoothly so far, average running temp seems a tiny bit high at 50-ish degrees, but I'll post back if/when it shuts down.

EDIT: Nope, didn't solve it. Ran for exactly 8 minutes and ten seconds then it shut down.

I've checked a fair few other sites, and people with my problem seem to solve it by replacing their motherboard. I was hoping to not have to do that, but thankfully the site I ordered it from is good with warranties and I can most likely get it replaced for free.

I'll post the result once I get the replacement, but either way I'm definitely going to be more careful about leaving the computer on for long periods of time.

Since your pc is powering off after a couple of minutes, it's near impossible to run some diagnostic tests to check what the issue is. I'm afraid the best answer is getting your hardware changed.
