Replacing CPU and Motherboard without reinstalling windows?

Hi, right now i have a AMD Fx6100 with a Gigabyte M68MT-S2 motherboard, and im upgrading to an i5 4460 + Gigabyte H81M-H, so i wanna know if im gonna have to format or not.

Wrong, all you might need to do is reactivate Windows if it's an OEM copy.



Wrong, because Windows will automatically install the correct drivers.

I had to completely reinstall retail Windows when I replaced the revision 1.0 version of a board with the revision 4.0 version of the same board.

Saying you won't have to reinstall when you're completely changing the board model makes less than zero sense.

Totally agree. It makes me wonder how do all these retard think you must reinstall OS. Fucking idiots who don't have a clue prevent they know what they are talking about.
