So i have an old 40GB SSD as my boot drive with Windows 7 professional on it. About 4 months ago I rebuilt my entire PC with upgraded hardware and figured id use the 40 GB SSD to use as a boot drive. Well Im out of storage space on the drive. I can no longer install windows updates and sometimes can not even open videos on other hardrives due to there being no room on the boot drive. Is there a way to clone this drive with a 256GB drive and make the PC think its the same hardrive? I SERIOUSLY do not want to re-install everything like I did a couple months ago. It would take way too long with the amount of programs I have. Please help!

If you get a Samsung evo ssd it will come with migration software that will move everything to the new ssd, otherwise any decent cloning software will do
