i recently just got a 2.4Ghz wireless mouse to replace my current logitech(i love them by the way), because the clicking sensors on it were geting worn out and stuff.

I bought this specific mouse from BigLots, and its by eSource( and from the information i gathered, the following problem is quite common for their brand of mouses, and ive found that they went out of business)

Anyways, when i got it, i set it up perfectly, it works amazing, no problems there of funtionality. However, every 10 seconds or so, it freezes and then i have to pick it up and put it back down again.

This has nothing to do with my laptop (since my old one doesnt have this problem) and it isnt an error with the drivers or the usb thing.

anyone know how i can fix this small problem? it does affect my gaming performance as well.

Its also not an issue with my mouse pad.

ITs a 2.4GHz optical wireless mouse, 6 button.

Probably some kind of interference. Wifi runs on the 2.4 Ghz band too and I can't imagine the eSource mouse having a very nice receiver. Also very likely is that it is just a bad mouse. If you can return it I would and get something from a better manufacturer i.e logitech, microsoft etc.

Do what power2015 said and if that doesn't fix it then you're probably better off getting a better mouse. Nicer mice aren't that expensive. Granted more expensive than from BigLots. You can get a decent mouse for normal use and casual gaming for under $30 if you look around. I think the Logitech M310 is like $15-$20 at most places.
