Watercooling Fan Control header query!!

During the installation of the h100i, I followed all the instructions but I used a fan splitter so that both the top 120 fans are controlled from the same 4 pin header on my motherboard. This header is labelled ChassisFan_4.

Should these fans be connected to the header labelled CPU_fan or CPU_opt?
At the moment, I have the CPU block connected to the CPU_fan header [as of following instructions]

Both the CPU_Fan and CPU_opt are fine. That is just if you want 2 fans connected to your CPU heatsink. You could drop the splitter and connect one fan to each of those 2 headers. Then your motherboard could control the speeds and you could see each individual RPM.

Keep the block on CPU_Fan, that will be controlling the pump. Although in my opinion, the pump speed should always stay the same, but whatever.

Theres no real difference between CPU_Fan, CPU_Opt and normal headers other than the fact that by default the CPU ones will be tied to CPU temp and the board will freak out if it detects that no power is being drawn from them (ie, there is no fan or its broke). Hook them up to CPU_Opt, to me it makes sense it will behave exactly like the primary CPU_Fan header.

Yeah, I shall try that. This question was mainly linked in with the fact that im overclocking an i5 4670k and am struggling to clock it higher than 4.3. Earlier I managed to clock it to 4.2 with the stock heatsink. Therefore i was left confused and wondering if it isnt recognising the radiator fans as the cpu fans or what not
