So my current PC specs are(not overclocked):
-Powercolor R9 280x 3GB
-Intel i7 950 @ 3.06GHz
-3TB Sata HDD
-8GB DDR3 Ram
-Blu-ray/Dvd drive
-Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Motherboard
-OCZ 600W P/S
-Coolermaster V10 CPU Cooler
So my dilemna is that I'm looking to get a new monitor, as my old one stopped working. I'm very interested in LG's ultrawide range. They do 34" monitors in 1080p (2560*1080) and 1440p (3440*1440). They now have the freesync versions outs aswell so I would like to get one soon. I can wait and save up more money for the 1440p, but I don't know if my PC can handle it.
My options are, to get a new processor/mobo for the minute with the 1080 screen or get the 1440 screen and save to buy a new GPU aswell.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
