this is my current PC build: MD Frontier MA08A-2-BK no PSU;Intel Core i5-4460 3,2G/6M; DDR3 8GB 1600C11 Crucial; MSI B85-G41 PC MATE ATX; 2gb MSI GT640 PCI-e; 1TB WD Blue SATA3 7200 64MB; PSU 500W Chieftec CTG-500-80P; Windows 8.1 64bit.

Do i need to upgrade my setup in any way to be able to run MSI GTX 960 Gaming 2G?
also anything i need to know?

if you want the big boy gpu yes you do.

chieftec power supplies are made for office computers.

Actual gaming rigs, pop them like the 4th of july. Maybe not today, or a week from now but they will go.

They could take other pc parts with them. Never cheap out on the heart of your pc.
