I change the parts, like the MB, RAM ( 1866mhz), cpu cooler (AIO water), PSU (antec), SSD ( better one), case ( full tower format), GPU ( r9 280x, better than gtx960) but you can keep your parts.

You don't need update the BIOS, eg, the asus M5A97 R2.0 need at least 1006 version for the fx8320, which was released about two yrs ago. And I recommend you should get the asus M5A97 R2.0 instead of the GA-970A-D3P , because it has lowr power phase count (4+1), the MB may have overheat problem sooner or later.
