I have just set up my first computer, however it being my first time I have almost no knowledge about what computer parts do and if there is a bug, how to know what the problem is.
These are my computer parts:
motherboard: asus m5a99x EVO R2.0
powersupply: Corsair Builder Series CX 600 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS (CX600)
cpu fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Kit
CPU: AMD FX-6300 6-Core Processor Black Edition
harddrive: Seagate 2TB Desktop HDD
graphics card: Sapphire Radeon R9 280 3GB

So the problem is that I have been trying to play games such as League of Legends and there is this screen flickering at first after a couple of minutes of playing, and then all of a sudden after awhile the game completely crashes along with the computer. The monitor sometimes has alternating screens of alternating colors (ex. the screen would turn blue, then green, then pink, etc.) until it completely froze. Can anyone help me figure out what the problem could be? Maybe it is because I didn't download the correct drivers? Or is it more technical with the specific parts that I have?

Solution
Because the problem maybe from overheat, GPU or PSU, or drivers.
Recommend start from the cable connection. Check the GPU, make sure you plug the 2x 6-pin pice power cables into the r9 280.
Next download and install the HWMonitor to check the cpu, gpu temps. http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
Maybe try use the DDU http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html to uninstall the AMD gpu driver, then reinstall it from AMD ( or try use the old version too) http://support.amd.com/en-us/download Update the chipset driver too http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows%208%20-%2032

Next, if you don't have other PSU, or GPU to test, it will be little bit hard. If you do have, and test...

Forget this, try to reseat the GPU, or use it in the other pcie slot.

I'm not sure if this is right but I am a proud owner of a gigabyte 280x and the stock boost kept blackscreening it. If you do have AMD CCC installed, go to the performance and overdrive tab, enable Graphics overdrive then allow manual fan speed, increase fan speed and lower the memory speed to about 1050mhz. Do not touch the big weird power graph chart. just the sliders.
