I am currently purchasing a new motherboard for my computer, and at the same time, I'm looking at purchasing a second GPU to link with SLI for the first time.

My current card is:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130953

Being that the product is unavailable, and I don't want to spring for TWO new cards, I have two questions:

1) Has anyone had a bad experience purchasing a refurbished product from Newegg?

2) Will this refurb card be 100% compatible with my current card...? The only reason I ask is on the basis of different model numbers and (what I believe to be) marginal differences in spec.

Thanks in advance for your help!

1) I've never done that so I can't tell.
2) Yes it will. Great chance they will both run at the slowest one's specs to prevent micro-stuttering as much as possible so they both need to be equally overclocked if you want to benefit from such practices.

I purchased a refurbished card from amazon and its still running for me. I know its not from newegg. PC parts from Newegg should be more trusted then any other retailer. If you purchased a part from that retailer, and it would be refurbished, I'm about 95% possitive it'll work and stay working for you.

And, if I were to get this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487035&cm_re=gtx_760-_-14-487-035-_-Product

Would I be better off? The only difference I can see is that one is optimized for DirectX 11.1 rather than 12.

Sorry for being so technologically illiterate.
