I recently (3 days ago) upgraded from a GT 640 to a GTX 970. It all went well pc turn on after the swap without any problems, but today I woke up, and on turning on the pc the monitor didn't show anything. I checked the HDMI cable and was correctly plugged in, tried the DVH and also didn't work.
The MSI logo on the card was lit and the fans were spinning (the fan spinning is weird because I think they don't do that on boot). Everything seemed correctly connected and I can't figure out was is wrong.
I ended up swapping it again for the GT 640 and everything seems fine.
A friend ask me if the graphics card was getting enough Amps. Could not enough Amps cause this behavior? How can I check what Amps my PSU can deliver to the Graphics Card? Does it explain how it worked fine for 3 days and suddenly stopped displayed image?

Heres a screen of PSU (I don't know what I should be looking on for amps)

No, it doesn't explain if your card is getting enough power, it was good for 3 days, if your power supply is weak, what could happen is to shutdown your display during gameplay, not during boot.

I had problems like this in my old computer, for me it was solved when I reseted my Mobo bios, you can do by using the jumpers in your mobo, you should check your manual on how to do so. You can also take out the CMOS battery for 1 minute and plug it again, it resets the bios too.

I do not know if that solves your problem. But in my case it was the problem was the motheboard, not the video card. It happened to me when I swaped my HD 4870x2 with a HD 6950.

The boot doesn't stop, I know that cause the Number lock shuts down after the bios, I just don't get any picture, I did take out the battery as you sugested, same thing happen. Pc boots allright I just don't get signal on my pc.
