Hey, i am looking to a get a gaming pc which costs under £500, preferably pre-built and i managed to get the following pc for £494 at Dino PC (without OS):

CPU: AMD FX 8320 Black Edition
Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1333mhz (1x8GB)
Hard Drive: 1TB S-ATAIII 6.0Gb/s
Graphics card: NEW! AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB
Sound card: Onboard 7.1 Audio
Case: NEW! Corsair Carbide Spec-01
PSU: 550W Corsair VS

I was wondering what are you thoughts on these specs and what games i could expect to play on max/high at decent frames. Also it seems Dino PC have mixed reviews overall, has anyone here dealt with them before?

Thank you!

I really suggest going Intel for your CPU if you are planning on gaming.

AMD CPUs are more like raw power workhorses, they don't provide the efficiency of a newer Intel CPU.

For example, I had an 8350 OC'd to 5GHz and it had over twice the raw power of the current CPU in my laptop... but I still had issues with many games just because of the games being single threaded or the 8350's high L3 latency causing micro-stutters.

Thanks for the reply, I'll keep that in mind but I think an intel CPU is a bit of my price range atm. Besides i done some research and people manage 60fps+ on high/ultra on some games that i would be interested in playing with similar setups (same CPU and GPU).

Do you think there are any issues with the specs i posted, for example the motherboard/PSU?
