New PM Build (As a spare PC)

Hey Guys, i am looking at building a second pc so i can use it as spare if my main rig ever fails and im waiting on parts to be shipped. I live in Australia and dont want to spend more them $500 but i will stretch to $550 if i have to. i dont need a monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers but i will need an OS

Take that $500 and buy yourself another 970 and SLI and take full advantage of your CPU and RAM.

I see no purpose in having a spare PC. If something breaks on your current rig, replace that part. If you buy a PC that sits there for 2 years until you need it, it will be old and outdated anyways.
