Hi there,

I'm in the market for a new power supply unit, I've currently got a 800w PSU (cant find out the brand but its 800w)
But i am wanting to upgrade my CPU from the i5-4440 (1150) to the i5-4690K or the i7-4790K and hoping to add another gigabyte 290x OC tri windforce GPU to my setup, i dont know which one to look for as i'm in the Australian market

Edit: Also, i don't know how much PSU power i'll need for 2x 290x gigabyte OCs and for the new CPU

Specs:
MoBo - ASRock z97x Fatal1ty (1150)
CPU - i5-4440 (with antec 1250 H20 watercooler)
16 GB ram
1x 290x Gigabyte OC ed
2x 1tb HDDs

Budget is probably around 150-170$?

This one then https://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/silverstone-power-supply-st85fp
cheapest good quality PSU for r9 290X CF

Here you can look for good PSU (Tier 1 and 2 are good)

Did look at the PSU tier list but everything is over priced here in AU
and the GPU compatibility list on the sliverstone said it can only run one 290x, since i'm looking at overclocking wouldn't i need around 1000w?

good 850w PSU is just enough for R9 290X CF (without OC) wattage is not the most important factor, amprage on 12v rail is.

yes you would need around 1000w for CF r9 290x with good OC. But you really need to increase the budget for PSU
