Core i3 4160 vs fx 6300

I want to know which is better core i3-4160 + r9 280x or fx 6300 + r9 280x in the latest games and if Core i3 4160 is better can i replace it with core i3 4150 and thanks

Generally when gaming (most situations) the i3 4150/4160 is going to do better than the FX 6300. Now there will situations where the FX 6300 (not usually gaming) will be a bit better than the i3, but generally the i3 will be a good option to consider.

The difference between the i3 4150 (3.5 gHz) and the i3 4160 (3.6 gHz) is only the clock speed.

@clutchc : thank you for reply but can you tell me what will I choose as I consider upgrading as a factor and what is the difference between core i3-4160 and core i3 4150 in performance is there a really great difference between them in performance and thank you

You won't see any discernible difference between the 2 CPU's. There is only 100 mHz clock speed difference, so I would buy which ever is cheaper in your area.

EDIT: as @lunyone said buy the cheaper one

getting i3 is also better if you want to upgrade in the future there are better CPU for 1150 socket. diffrence between will i3 4150 and i3 4160 will be minimal its hard to say how much but lets say around 1-2 fps per game may even not be 1 depends on the game
