Intel Core i5 4690k used with GTX 745?

Solution
Ok motherboard does support LGA1150 socket so you should be fine there.

Although CPU will be much more powerful then your GPU. It's a good investment in CPU but only if you are planing to upgrade your GPU soon aswel. Atleast if we are talking about gaming.

Also make sure that you have good enough PSU and you are good in terms of buying new CPU, but as I said..gpu is always more important for gaming but they will work fine in theory without any conflict nontheless.

What motherboard do you have ? That is only thing which might prevents you from adding this CPU into your case, well beside weak PSU.

i5 4690k is based on FCLGA1150 socket. So if you can give me name of your motherboard or google on your own you will know for sure.
