Hi!

I'd like to have a dedicated sound card instead of the integrated one. I would use it for hobby-level music production. I don't need recording ability, only good quality playback and good ASIO support.

My computer's specs are:

ASRock H81M-VG4 R2.0
i3-4150
8 GB Kindston HyperX Savage 1600 Mhz
Corsair Force 120 GB system drive + for VSTs and sample packs
Crucial BX100 250 GB drive for audio projects
GeForce 9300GE video card
Win 7 64 bit

Is the D2X worth the extra money? Its MIDI ports seems to be handy if in the future I might get a sound module, but not essential by any means. I wouls use it with some basic 2.0 speakers and two headphones for reference (Audio Technica ATH-m20X and Genius HS-500X). Later I might replace the M20x with an AKG K701.

Also I don't need any of the home theatre or surround features.
