Okay, So i didn't know this, but i plugged my new Asus gtx 970 into a 6 pin connecter although it has an 8 pin is very bad. I didn't play much as all doing that, but i did like 10 min of internet searching like that and I tested 2 games while only having the 6 pin connected. Did i do any damage? Should i return it and get another? Did i do any damage at all? What can happen from doing this?

No you didn't do any damage. The extra pins/wires simply allow for more current carrying capacity. Only needed if the card reaches it full load potential. More important is the make/model of your PSU. If it didn't have sufficient 6/8 pin connectors, there's a good chance it is too weak for that card when it gets loaded.
