Hey all,
I have a Fx 6300 running at stock values but the idle temp is around 49celcius..
Any tips on how to fix it?
Already replaced the termal paste and cleaned the cpu with alcohol.
I have the TX3 evo cooler and a MSI 970A-G43 motherboard.

AMD cpus dont give very accurate temps. its not uncommon for them to be as much as 5C-20C off in either direction.

For FX cpus generally they run within 5C of the socket temp... so check out the hottest temp on the motherboard... then compare it to the cpu temps... should give you an idea if the temps are being reported properly.

The TX3 Evo mounts the wrong way on AMD boards, so this could lead to higher temps, as the rear exhaust fan is fighting against the cooler for air. There is also the chance that the cooler has a dodgy mount, leading to poor contact with the CPU. Have you tried using the stock cooler?

The thermal margin is around 46c,

Good then:
can you put the stock cooler and see what temps you get? With thermal paste and all.
And post them here.

The point is, i was running my fx in a micro itx build with this cooler already but it was only just when i upgraded my build to ATX that i noticed my temps were a bit of.
So yeah, I don't have the stock cooler anymore.
