Which graphic card will fit in HP Compaq Elite 8300 Small Form Factor PC?

I have HP Compaq Elite 8300 ci5 Small Form Factor PC. I want to buy Sapphire R9 270x 4Gb GDDR5 256-bit graphic card. Will it fit in my PC casing? Please help me in this matter.

... there is no R9-270X that will fit. And the stock PSU would be too small anyway. That case requires a low profile or half-height card. Due to that limitation and the small PSU that your machine has, you will be limited to much weaker performance cards.

You can always move the components to a bigger case, yes.
The best card for the stock 320W PSU (if that is what you actually have), would be the GTX 750 Ti low-profile. But be aware, that HP motherboards/BIOSs have been notorious for having problems with cards that are not on their QVL (qualified vender list). The new Maxwell-equipped GTX 750 Ti is an example. I'd check with the folks at HP or the HP forum to see what the chances of success are.

The GTX 750 Ti and the newer 9-series cards have a UEFI BIOS. HPs that have a legacy BIOS sometimes cannot recognize the cards. One solution by MSI in their Gaming series of gfx cards, was to add a BIOS switch to change from UEFI to legacy BIOS so the cards had a better chance of being recognized. i tried GTX 750 Ti but it till wont fit. i think i m in trouble. can u tell me any other best low profile card that will fit in my small form factor hp compaq 8300 elite pc. also tell me is there any low profile version of GTX 750 Ti

The link to the MSI card above was for an example of one of the few GTX 750 Ti that has a BIOS switch. It's obviously not a low profile card, and I never intended for you to get that one. I said in our earlier discussion that your card had to be Low Profile. This is an example of a low profile GTX 750 Ti.

But they don't have the BIOS switch. So I can't guarantee your HP will work with it.

Btw, you never verified that you had the bigger 320W PSU that was offered for that SFF PC. If you have the smaller one, it won't be enough for that card.

Lots of pics, but not one of the PSU nameplate/label. I don't see any issue with the L-P GTX 750 Ti physically fitting. Some HPs have the PCIe x16 slot in such a position that you can only use a single width card. Yours doesn't have that issue fortunately. But I can't swear the HP BIOS will recognize the UEFI BIOS of the GTX 750 Ti. Worth a chance if you can return it, I guess.

But if you have the 240W PSU, the GTX 750 Ti may not start anyway. It surely won't run at full power and may cause shut downs, or worse. I can't recommend the GTX 750/750 Ti with that PSU.

i checked the psu n it says 240w so i think gt 750 ti is out of question. recommend me any other card so that i may b able to play assassin creed unity n witcher 3 (at average performance or medium)

That PC was never intended for playing 'A' games on. You might be able to run a GT 720, but I doubt it would play either of those games well at 1080p even with minimum settings.

i have sold my ci5 8300 elite. now i want to buy dell optiplex 780 quad core 2.4 ghz 8 gb dd3 supported ram in tower casing. so now can u tell me if radeon r9 270x 256 bit or nvidia 750ti 128 bit will run ok in the above mentioned pc. r they compatible with the above mentioned pc if not then y?

As far as PCIe ver. 3.0, I can't say w/o knowing what motherboard is in the machine. But it won't matter anyway. No card you can use will even be able to saturate the bandwidth of PCIe 2.0.
