Acer Aspire V3-112P, Win 8.1

Upon boot, it's stuck on logo screen.

I can access the BIOS. But I don't really know what to do.

I can not see any signs of the OS. Not even the spinny thing is showing.

Please help.

Hi, The facebook accounts messed up. I thought I was signed in when my Brother actually was.

I go into BIOS, there is no "advanced"

There is:

"Information"
"Main"
"Security"
"Boot"
"Exit"

The title is "InsydeH20 Setup Utility.

Upon mashing some other keys like Fn and ESC, I can get it to start "Automatic Repair" but it just gets stuck on that.

I don't know what I did, but once it got to a "recovery screen".

It gave me 3 options, Esc for UEFI settings, enter to try again and I think esc to turn off.

If you can get to recovery screen, or system repair, open a command prompt

Type in
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /rebuildbcd

Maybe that would help you fix it

If not, go into your bios
Go to the advanced tab
Select your sata settings
Set your hard drive to AHCI mode
Save settings and reboot

Oh, It looks like you have no choice but to locate and download an ISO file for your version of windows (example windows 8.1 pro 64-bit)
Burn it to a cd using imgburn or to a bootable usb using rufus.
Then boot from it. It appears to need to be fixed with the above command using the repair options from the disc/usb you would've burned/created. Or the entire windows version needs to be reinstalled
