im planning on buying a second gigabyte GTX 780 Ghz edition (link below):

I am already using an extension cord for my gaming pc. I am afraid if I plugged in the second GPU then the extension cord wont be able to handle it. both the monitor and twin speakers are plugged in along with the PC.

here are the components for my PC:

- Intel core i5 4570
- 8 gb kingston hyperx beast 11866Mhz
- Gigabyte GTX 780 Ghz edition
- Cooler master hyper pro hybrid 850w gold rated

Solution
I would just recommend a good surge protected extension but apart from that any will be able to deliver the current, they are designed to deliver as much current as your single wall socket which in the UK is 3 kilowatts.

You will be fine as long as you dont exceed your power supply's maximum load, Bearing in mind an average kettle is around 1800w. The only thing to worry about is amperage, which will not matter in this case.
