running windows vista
trying to put it on another hard drive, but every time i restart pc it reverts to not being on the drive. tough in the advanced system settings it is there. got the c drive down to 16mb; i did that since i could not get it to turn of. it would just default to mach my ram. any ideas??? dcould it be that the letter on drive is higher then the C and is an A

Solution
Do not use A as a drive letter. Or B. For anything
Yes, they are 'available'. But within the Windows ecosystem, those drive letters have specific reserved properties, for legacy use.

They were originally used for floppy drives, before hard drives became mainstream. A pagefile probably cannot live on those.
