ps i also want this card to be one that will last me for a long time and will not have to upgrade it for a while
(changed my mind about getting 4gb on the card since i dont really game in 4k XD i saw a vid explaining me about that but i still am thinking between those 2 cards i want to know which one is better preferred

Solution
I wouldnt take the 4gb anyway as the gpu is too weak to make use of it. No point.

The Super SC is technically the best, its "Super Superclocked" whereas the other is just Superclocked.

Although if there is much of a price difference I'd take the normal SC as basically you can OC it at home the same amount anyway.

The only title I've seen that can actually use more than the 2gb is ACU, where it reduces frame lag but not average fps.

But across the board results are either no difference or a 2fps difference between 2gb/4gb. Unless you try to play in 4k, but then with that card you are running at under 20fps to start with anyway.

Where are you seeing it use 4gb?

I was in the exact same situation as you a few months ago when I build my new Air240. I originally was planning to get an EVGA 960 but after a lot of research and another month of saving, I went with an EVGA 970SSC+ and I'm very glad I did. The EVGA 960 will play most current games pretty well, but the problem is that the 960 is on the level where its just powerful enough to do it. If your looking for the, as you say, "card to be the one that will last me for a long time and will not have to upgrade it for a while", then the GTX960 is not it.
The GTX960 is a 1080P card. Having a 4gb version compared to 2gb version has minimal benefit bc its still a 1080P card. Its going to seriously struggle at 1440 and its not powerful enough for 4k so your pretty much stuck at 1080P and dont really have the option to possibly upgrade to a higher resolution down the line. And as games get bigger, more detailed, and more demanding, which they are, and much quicker than Id like..(GTAV is over 60gbs and has no problem using 4gb ram with the right settings), its only going to get worse and the GTX960 not being powerful enough is going to become more evident.
Your much better off saving up less than $100 more and getting a GTX970. It is WELL worth it, and is significantly better than the GTX960. Also its going to last considerably longer than the GTX960 before its considered outdated, which is what you said you want.

Trust me, even if it takes a few months to save up the extra money, you will not regret getting a 970 instead.
