I have an older Panasonic Toughbook that I just installed a fresh copy of Windows XP onto. I am looking to activate the Touch Screen function with Win XP so I can use it as an alternative to the mouse as the mouse touch pad isn't that up to snuff.

Can I install some sort of program or driver to enable the touch screen functionality in XP. It has been tested working with Ubuntu.

I have found the driver d-2002-158.exe which is a touchpad/touchscreen driver for the CF-28. However it has not become functional. Im not sure if this is the right one that I need.

http://www.toughbookdrivers.com/cf-28-drivers/

I went from this page and selected MKII because CPU-Z states I have a 800 mhz processor.

Then at the bottom of that list I selected d-2002-158 as that is the only touchscreen driver I see associated with Win XP. I save it to the desktop and ran the program which seemed to work properly as it extracted the files but the driver is not showing up. I am using IObit driver booster and its not picking up the d-2002-158. I have tried updating the PS/2 mouse driver but windows can not find a more current driver for it.

Have done some system restarts in the process.

I finally got the touch screen to work with Windows XP using the d-2002-158 driver I posted before. I followed the instructions I found in this thread with that driver.
