You with Intel Pentium G3258 on H97 Chipset Motherboard, 8GB DDR3 RAM, R7 260X 2GB DDR5 @720/1080p with high graphical fidelity, should get a pretty good game play experience both on Far Cry 3 & Far Cry 4.

Important Note: All major motherboard manufacturers had confirmed that you can easily overclock the G3258 even on H81/97/B85 Chipset motherboards with a BIOS update. No need for a Z97 motherboard. So you should be able to easily overclock the G3258 to 4.0Ghz, that too with the default CPU cooler, which will do a fine job.

You can use this as base guide to overclock the G3258 and try to replicate it on the H97 board - How to OC G3258 on ASRock H81M-HDS
