Hello,

The past couple of days I have ran into an issue where my computer will shut off completely while running a game. (Ark Survival Evolved). The game is early access so its possible that it is buggy but nobody in the ark community has reported this issue. I have completely reformatted my HDD and reinstalled windows and still get the problem. It only happens while on the loading screen or in the menu. But I could be playing for 5+ hours and no problems. Any idea what might be causing this issue.

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965
GPU: EVGA GTX 570
RAM: 16GB
MOBO: Asus M4A89TD Pro
PSU: 700W (Don't know brand)

Everything is about 2-3 years old, and nothing seems to be overheating.

Solution
Try updating the drivers ?
Another reason might be a busted PSU. Brandless or lower end PSU are prone to being completely fried and cause failure in the PC. Try changing the PSU and see if it still happens.
