Hello,

My new ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer Board doesn't boots with a i5 4690K and one RAM Slot used (Slot 2).

The CPU light lights up for less then a second and then turns off. The DRAM Light lights up and doesn't turns off.

USB Devices are not working, no Video and it doesn't beeps. (It beeps without RAM)

I am using an Samsung 4K TV, it works fine with all my other Devices, worked fine with my last Board (Same CPU).

All FANs are running fine.

I already read another post, who had the same issue.

I will try to remove the board from the case and test another Monitor.

I will try different outputs too.

Any other ideas?

Try the ram stick in different slots. I know its probably slot 2 the first but its only 30'' to test. Also some ram work with some motherboards when they are bios updated ,and maybe your's is in an early state bios, so yeah please check another ram if its available preferably one that is near your cpu's intented ram speed (1600mhz-1866mhz)
Also check cpu orientation if it was placed upside down in the cpu slot (i am not sure if it can go differently though-probably not).
Also remove 24 pin, & 8 pin from motherboard and also the power plug from psu and leave it off for 20'' and then connect again as a good measure.
Your problem feels like its something simple

The first two slots weren't working. I found out that the screws of the Water Cooler caused an Shore Citruit. I isolated it and all RAM Slots worked again.
