So I was wondering which of this 2 pc builds will run better? For playing bf4 witcher 3 and streaming also. My budget is 800-890$ CANADIAN DOLLARS would there be a better build?

Solution
The fx 8320 will have to be overclocked with an aftermarket cpu cooler, and I would prefer a 990fx mobo to overclock that particular fx on. After the fx is overclocked, both builds will be more or less perform the same at gaming. You would not notice the difference in real life unless you benchmark everything. The i5 will be superior to the fx 8320 since most games rarely use more than 4 threads. Between the both of them, I would choose the i5, since the savings I get from buying the fx will be negated by the cost of overclocking it.

The GPU is where I would allocate more of the budget. A gtx 970 or a r9 290 with or without x will make a huge difference over a 960, even if that means getting an i3-4160 instead of an i5 and skimping on...

They're both GTX 960s builds. The i5-4460 vs AMD FX-8320 is an easy Intel victory. Keep in mind that AMD's 8 core parts are rarely better than Intel's 4 core parts. Further keep in mind that when the FX-8320 is able to outperform the Intel i5, it is (a) a rare occassion and (b) using a lot more power than the Intel part so it's literally not worth the extra cost in electricity to do that.

Now if you had the FX-8320 with a $290 GPU vs the Intel i5 with the GTX 960 we'd have an interesting question.

Latter add good cooler and you can OC on this mobo :)

A gtx 970 or a r9 290 with or without x will make a huge difference over a 960, even if that means getting an i3-4160 instead of an i5 and skimping on other components of the build as long as it is still a quality choice. As much as I prefer a true powerfull quadcore like an i5 over a dual hyperthreaded core like an i3, an i3 paired with either of those two gpus will crush an i5 with the 960 or its equivalents.

For the psu I've included the evga 500w 80+bronze, just to keep it within budget. It will still power your system just fine. If you could do without the optical drive and install the os through a bootable usb instead (easy), you can still get that EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold.

This is how a i3-4160 and a gtx 970 build will look like, without changing anything else except the psu.

Thanks! for the advice I guess I can spend a bit more for better performance. I would also consider the i3 and 970 build but would this pair last a long time for the coming games?

Since I am streaming also will the i3 be enough for 1080p streaming?
