internal hard disk drive

Solution
Hi there yeldhose,

You are talking about a different drive right?(not partition)
If this is the case, you can go to Disk Management and see whether and how the drive appears over there.

If it has no letter assigned, you need to assign one. In case it has no partitions and/or file system, I guess you will need to use some kind of data/partition recovery software in order to retrieve the data stored on it.
If the drive is not recognized by Disk Management, it has most probably failed. One thing you can try is to just connect it with different cables to a different SATA port.
