Upgrading my Gateway DX4870's Graphics card help

Hey guys! I want to upgrade my Gateway DX4870's graphics card into a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202113&cm_re=hd_6970-_-14-202-113-_-Product
Would my Power supply be enough? Or should I need an upgrade for that too? Sorry for being a complete newbie but do i also need to buy any wires? Also, If my computer has a built in Intergrated HD Graphics card, am I able to install the graphics card and will it be compatible with the motherboard?

Well to answer your question, we need details about the power supply. Do you have a 500W PSU? and if you do, do you have 2 PCIe power connectors. You require one 6 pin and one 8 pin connector in order to power and use the HD 6970

So if i plan on upgrading to a different PSU would 600 be safer? Or should i stick with 500? And would i have to rebuy all the cables?

He has a 300 Watt power supply.

Without replacing it he can safety run a Non Overclocked 750Ti.
