So i want to cool my VRMs on my maximus vii formula which has g1/4 fittings, ill be cooling this only as i have a h100i and a limited budget on this. Please dont argue whether i need it or not i probably dont but its a start on a full custom loop haha. So I can only fit this in my case:Magicool G2 Slim Radiator 16 FPI - 120mm and I was thinking 16/10 tubing with matching compression fittings (x4) and for the pump/reservoir would be the XSPC Twin X2O 420 Single Bayres/Pump unit. So do i need more fittings and such or is it all going to work?

Solution
Does your motherboard comes with G1/4 fittings? If so, check the diameter and go with that. If not, I'd suggest 1/2*3/4 diameter since it's the biggest 'standard' tubing you can find. Bigger is better.

If you go with hard tubing, I'd consider buying a fill/drain port to maintain your loop. If you go with flex tube, leave some slack so you can pull the bay res out of it's socket to refill and drain the loop.

The H440 has room for 240/280mm rad on top and 240/280/360mm rad at the front so you surely have enough space for you loop.

Is all of this worth it? Probably not. But it's your money and you can do whatever you want with it.

Wow i didnt even know there was space for a rad at the front ! and it comes with holes basically and says you need to get fittings seperately so does that mean i need more stuff?

You will need to buy 2 fittings for the VRM block, 2 fittings for the RAM block, 2 fittings for the res/pump combo and 2 fittings and a spare plug if you consider buying a fill/drain port. I recommend to use BitsPower or EKWB fittings for minimal leaking chances. Just to be sure, double check the bay res specification but there should be all the plugs needed.

Sure, no problem. Dont forget that fittings for hard tubing are different than flex tubing. They usually are shorter because they dont need the bezel to squeeze the tube. 16mm would be the biggest 'standard' tubing for hardline/rigid tubing.
