Hi,
I have just upgraded my Dell vostro slim tower pc to 8 GB ram, added a GTX 650 and shifted them to a new case. Post the upgrade process, I have clean installed Win 8 pro(previously running Win 7 pro) and now I face some problems while playing videos. The YouTube videos would sometimes appear choppy as well as those in my hard drive-while playing with Windows media player. But strangely VLC does not suffer from the issues while playing videos/movies from the PC.What could be the problem? Please help.

PC Specs-
Core i3 2120
8GB RAM
500 GB WD Caviar blue
450w Corsair power supply
GTX 650 1GB DDR5 Galaxy LP
Frontech cabinet with 2x120mm,1x80mm fans

Windows 8 is different from Windows 7 and has DPI Scaling. On my Lenovo Yoga 2 I have to disable DPI Scaling so that the resolutions of the videos are not "auto adjusted" and give a poor/choppy appearance.

Also, you can try running Windows Media Player in Compatibility Mode for Windows 7. See if that helps as Windows 8 is known for compatibility issues of all sorts. I do not think this is a Nvidia driver issue, it certainly sounds like a software/OS issue.
