So I recently built a new pc, the build process was smooth and everything (hopefully) will work accordingly. But... I've had great trouble installing Windows 64 Bit from a USB onto the PC. The USB I'm looking to download from is a reliable 16gb Kingston USB.
So, I'm coming from an iMac 2011, so I had to use "Disk Reader" to convert the Windows 7 file(s) into a .iso, rather than it's original .img, which I did. I then used "Bootcamp Assistant" to format the .iso/USB (I'm new to this so im uncertain) to be able to install.
All goes well and it seems like (from the multiple sources online) that those were the main steps. So I precede to my PC, turn it on, plug in the USB (in the 2.0 port), reset the computer, then enter the bios upon turning it back on. I set it so the USB boots first. My computer restarts and leads me past the Mobo logo and onto a black screen with a flashing underscore.
I know I've gone wrong somewhere (obviously), but it's difficult to tell when it's your first time doing a tedious task, and it's especially frustrating when you follow specific steps and they don't work.
