R9 280 dual-x VS GTX 960 or a similar nVidia GPU with at least 3GB vRam

I've freaked out..all day long I've been searching about those two cards. Whether the R9 is better or the 960. They seem to have similar performance, despite the smaller memory bandwidth of the 960. The 960 fully supports dx12 and dx12.1, g-sync, blah blah... My main concern is vRam. I think that 2gigs of vRam in 2015 is not enough for 1080p gaming with ultra settings and high textures etc.. If I could find at the same price range (200€) an nVidia GPU with at least 3GB of vRam, I would definitely go with it.
On the other hand, there's another version with 4gigs, but despite the fact that it is more expensive, I read on many sites that 4gigs doesn't make that much of a difference compared to 2gigs of the same version. (960)

I want some serious answers, my mind has bottlenecked and I don't know whether to go with R9 280 because of 960's vram lack, with 960 because it seems to be faster, cooler, more stable and all that stuff, or with another choice of nvidia with 3 gigs. Please, some help...
