I'm looking to buy a new gpu, but don't know enough about the technical aspects of them to make a decision. Based on what is available to me (in South Africa) and the prices of these cards, I have narrowed it down to these four cards (I know the prices provided may seem high to you, but unfortunately that's what I have to work with in South Africa and I'm not willing to order from overseas):

  • $697 (ZAR8625) - EVGA GeForce GTX 980 (04G-P4-2983-KR), Superclocked Edition, 4GB 256bit DDR5, Core/Memory: 1266/7010MHz (Core Boost: 1367MHz), PCI-Express 3.0 (x16), 64 ROPs, 224GB/s Memory Bandwidth, 2048 CUDA Cores, 128 TMUs (Texture Mapping Units), 28nm, Supports 4K Displays, DirectX12, GPU Boost 2.0, PhysX, TXAA, NVIDIA G-SYNC-ready, SHIELD-ready, 3D Vision, CUDA, Adaptive VSync, FXAA, NVIDIA Surround, SLI-ready, ACX 2.0 Cooling (Swept Fan Blades, Double Ball Bearings, Low Power Motor), Dynamic Super Resolution, Gold-Plated HDMI Connectors, 1x DVI + 3x DisplayPort + 1x HDMI, 3 Years Warranty, includes Batman: Arkham Knight (Game Code)

Obviously I know that the last card is the best and that generally the 980 is better than the 970. The EVGA 980 clearly seems to have the best specs (based on my assumptions made from limited knowledge). What I am not sure about is how significant the differences between the cards actually is and whether the difference in the card warrants the difference in the price.

So basically I'd like to know which one of these cards you would pick and why, taking into consideration all the specs of each card and the prices? Any help would be appreciated.
