Vengeance Pro Series Ram + G.Skill Trident X (COMBINED)?

My sister just bought me Corsair Vengeance Pro Series 16GB (2x8gb) but I already have g.skill trident x 16gb (2x8gb) so I was wondering if I should add the two ram sticks my sister bought me (so 4 sticks altogether) or just not put them in and keep my 2 trident x ram sticks?

i have the i7 4790k and asus maximus 7 hero mobo.

any advice would be greatly appreciated! thank yoU!

Give them a try, I've been able to mix these at times, at other times they just haven't played. Try and let us know what it does, if problems we can try some voltage and/or timing adjustments

awesome thanks for the reply tradesman, i hear you're the go to guy for ram stuff. I actually don't know much about voltage and timing so i will do a little research on that before sticking my new ram sticks in, will update this thread once i understand a little more.

After some research i have decided that 32gb of ram is completely unnecessary and so I will try to sell my corsairs and hopefully get another ssd to add to my system. anyways thanks for the help tradesman1 have a good1! :p
