Computer crashes playing high-end graphic games

I recently upgraded my PSU and GPU to Corsair CX600M and Asus Strix GTX 970. After that my computer will crash after not even 5 minutes of game play of Farcry 4 on ultra, Planetside 2 around 20 mins on high/ultra, but I can run Killing Floor 2 max settings no problem. Each of these games run at a constant 60fps or more. My processor is i7-4790k at 4.7ghz but it has been like that since I've had it (longer than the GPU and PSU) so I don't think that matters. I also have a MSI Z97 PC Mate motherboard, and G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series DDR3 2x8GB RAM, at 2400MHz.
My highest prime time temps:
GPU: around 40c
CPU: 80c-85c, rarely 90c

Another thing; my computer is fairly clean and all fans work fine so dust isn't the problem.
The crash isn't a BSOD, it isn't a computer shutdown/restart, the screen freezes and the only thing I can do is manually reset my computer. I've tried WhoCrashed and BlueScreenView but they don't tell me anything. If someone could help me that would be great.

Ok thanks. Could anyone else help verify this? Not saying IamTimTech doesn't know what he's talking about, I just want extra clarification before I unplug everything from my PSU and drive 25 minutes from my house to return it and drop another $30 or so for a more powerful one.
