Will N750TI-2GD5TLP work within an optiplex 780 MT?

Around three months ago I got an optiplex 780 MT. I plan to do some gaming on it, not necessarily the latest titles, something like WoW, Battlefield or USFIV. Since there are some limitations about this pc like the PSU and physical space, I want to know if this card will fit and have enough energy for it to work.

If the answer is no, it would be great to know what are my options of a video card that will be compatible with the system nowadays.

I have little knowledge about pcs, and I have never bought a Video Card before. So any advice will be very welcome.

PC details:

OPTIPLEX 780 MT
CHIPSET: Intel® Q45 Express chipset w/ICH10DO
PROCESSOR: Core 2 Quad 8400
RAM: 6GB DDR3 1067MHz
PSU: 305 Watt Power supply

...you are going to be limited to a single slot card. The card you selected fits the bill.
(But it does not have to be low profile)
The GTX 750 Ti requires a strong 300W or better PSU. Again, you have that covered.
The only possible drawback will be the old Dell's legacy BIOS. Some older PCs won't recognize the new EUFI BIOS of the Maxwell-equipped GTX 750 Ti. I'm afraid there's no way to know for sure w/o trying it. But the reviews on the Newegg website for that card seem to give...

First of all thanks for answering and providing the link to those reviews, were useful to me, also yes that's my dell.
About the compatibility issue, as you mentioned, the reviews show the possibility for it to work! I'll continue looking for more info on that regard in order to be sure. On the other hand, what if this card is not recognized, what would be another video option for this system?

In theory, just about any card that doesn't have a UEFI BIOS should work. But having to be single slot narrows your choices a bit. I would suggest asking on the Dell forum. The Dell reps frequent their forum often, and may be able to verify that the GTX 750 Ti will indeed work for you.

With a small PSU like that, you will have to go with a less powerful card if the GTX 750 Ti is a no go. The GTX 750 Ti is the only serious 1080p card that is safe to run on a system with a 300W PSU.
