super NOOB here,
so i bought this particular RGB LED strip due to its decent reviews and price range. upon installing this devise i saw the 2 molex cables (female/male). i connected the male end into my PSU (molex adapter) nothing happened (i tried all the molex cables that game with my fully modular PSU) i found another adapter the went from molex to 4 pin so i tried that on a 3 pin connector (fan hub on my NZXt H440) i got a single solid light but remote wouldnt work. i tried to plug it directly to MOBO (ASUS X99 deluxe) again 1 light and remote wouldnt work. does anyone have this issue? suggestion?comments?anything? help... me.... plz. i suck at life.

Stupid question, but it was hooked up to the Molex, did you turn it on via the remote power button. Does the remote have a battery? Did you take the plastic slip cover that most remotes like that have so the battery doesn't die during shipping.

Hooking it up to your motherboard and other 3 pin connections and various things around your house is stupid and your asking to fry things, especially a $400 motherboard.

I have various LED strip lights, but mine are powered from a 12V wall adapter. Same lights, same remote and they work fine. I would check the remote, battery, plastic battery protector first before you fry something.

i did not turn it on with the controller and i double checked the remote for a platic cover. i replaced a batter as well.

as for frying things :( i got impatient and accidently plugged in the molex cable as the 3 pin connector was installed on my 3 pin fan hub (DOH! i know i should have messed with it with all power off and disconnected) and the right side of my fan hub got fried but the left side still works which still has the stock fans from the h440 case. i did have to move my radiotor fans directly to the mobo since i blew out the right side of my hub. (hopefully thats all the damage i cause because the hub is not connected to mobo just to the psu all seemed fine when i went to start up i hope)

so what do you think bro? aside from seeing me as useless lol
