Not sure if I've got the appropriate thread here; I'm looking for some advice on upgrading my current gaming desktop. My rig is the following:
Asus GTX 770 2gb graphics card,
Asus Rock Extreme 990x 3 motherboard,
8gb Corsair Vengeance RAM,
CX 600M power supply,
4 fans,
AMD FX 4350 Quad Core 4Ghz,
1TB HDD,
No SSD,
Win 8.1.
I'm wanting to upgrade the cpu, perhaps 6 core cpu as I don't think my motherboard can handle 8 cores. Also, wanting to upgrade my graphics card to a 4gb GTX 970 or 4gb R9 290X. I'm wondering if the power supply is enough, the changes would be compatible and if there'd be an issue cooling?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thank you.
