I am pretty obsessed when it comes to my PC parts temp and i always have HWmonitor open to keep eye on the temp every day. I have a random mid tower case that only have 1 back fan which i know sounds pretty bad but i have had many attempts to eliminate high CPU temp which included getting a CM Hyper 212, making space and sticking and extra fan with blutak in the front panel(which only resulted in extra noise and no difference in temps, and decreasing the voltage of my CPU.
However on HWMonitor there temps for CPU(Don't really know what it's for) and temp for FX-8350 which is my actual CPU with the first one being at constant 60 while gaming and the latter being at 45-55 under load so my question here is obvious what is the first CPU temp on HWMonitor? is it just the socket? and is there any harm with that being constant 60?
My 2nd question is about letting the side of the case open during the summer since i don't really have any airflow to interrupt wouldn't that be better except for collecting more dust which i can take care of?
