after doing a fresh install of windows 7 ultimate on my new SSD (now my primary drive), I still have my old programmes on my HDD which i am still using for several programmes.

I was wondering if there was a way to restore my previous start menu shortcuts, so when i run them they run from the HDD.

Thanks

Not really, you will be missing all of the appropriate registry entries and probably a lot of prerequisites for those programs. You can re-install the games and point to the new folder.

User settings and profiles are usually stored in the "User" directory, if you didn't back that up you may have lost your preferences and save games.

Steam installed games can handle being moved. Steam will just do a re-install to get everything working again.
