HyperX Fury DDR3 ram only running at 1400mhz

Hi, i have a HyperX Fury DDR3 8gb (2x4gb) RAM that only runs at 1400mhz. i want it to run at the 1866mhz that it is capable of. i have set the timings at 10-11-10-30 that it is rated but i only get 1400mhz still.

my other components are as follows:
Intel Pentium G3258 overclocked @ 3900Mhz
MSI H81M-P33

solutions would be very much appreciated.

Hi,

You motherboard supports max speed of 1600 mhz.
I don't think you can goto 1866 mhz

Also the cpu might set some limits

The fury set themselves up to the max they figure they can run via PnP, your G3258 is holding them back from 1600, could try OCing the CPU and might be able to kick them up a bit, also make sure you have the latest BIOS

how much overclock should i do to my G3258 to make the RAM go 1600mhz? i'm currently overclocking it +700mhz. it gets pretty hot when i go +800mhz.

Can try manually setting to 1600 with those timings and raise the DRAM voltage to 1.57 (safe)

i've set the dram voltage in the bios at 1.575v, still no use. also, it still says 1.500v on speccy. i guess there's nothing i can do about this.
