cant use keyboard or mouse at login screen

I can use my keyboard in the BIOS settings but as soon as it gets to the login screen the lights go off and neither of them work

This sounds more like a dead USB port. However, most likely, it's some USB drivers being faulty. Definitely try to re-enable them somehow, maybe by finding a generic keyboard and mouse. What keyboard/mouse are you using?

More drastically, it could also be an issue with the Windows USB 2.0 drivers. What version of windows are you using?

No touchpad but I did make razer synapse stop opening on startup. My mouse and keyboard were working fine until I got a BSOD then nothing

Can you somehow find another USB mouse? Maybe it'll allow you to navigate, and reactivate the software.

Thanks for the replies guys but I managed to get it working by pressing F8 to open the boot options menu and selecting "Use same settings as last successful boot" :)
