RE: any idea about the read only thing?

Go to My Computer > Properties of Drive C: > Permissions > Allow permission to read and write with the SSD

If you don't see this, burn a free Linux ISO onto a disk (it's completely free, not pirated) and start up your computer, with the configuration of boot to CD/DVD drive. Or, use UNetbooten to put a linux iso on a thumb drive, and set the boot config in your bios to boot from USB drive. Boot linux (by selecting try linux without installing) upon boot, and when the desktop shows, go to computer > right-click properties on drive C: > allow permission to the SSD
